What you're paying for the old stack
Most community organizations are already paying $300+ per month across five separate tools that don't talk to each other. Kannect replaces the whole thing.
- Eventbrite~$99 + per-ticket fees
- Mailchimp~$99
- Circle or Mighty Networks~$99
- Squarespace or WordPress~$25
- Member spreadsheet + Zapier~$20
- Events, CRM, memberships, campaigns, directories
- Announcements, messaging, triggered emails, broadcast
- Community website on your domain
- Member app on iOS and Android
- 1.5% fee on paid events, no per-ticket flat fee
Stack prices are rough averages for a mid-size community. Your actual old-stack bill is often higher once you add all your integrations, overage fees, and tier upgrades as you grow.
Replace six to ten tools with one platform

One bill, not a stack of them
Everything above becomes one platform, one login, one place your team works. No more integrations to stitch together, no more subscriptions to reconcile.
Independent, never sold off
Bending Spoons owns Meetup and Eventbrite, and its playbook is price hikes and cut support. Kannect is founder-run and accountable to communities, not to an acquirer.
Verified and spam-free
Every organization is credit-card verified, so the network stays free of bots, scams, and fake listings. When a member finds your community, they know it is real.
Nonprofits keep 100% of every donation
The community engagement platform for nonprofits carries the same monthly price as any other Kannect plan, and a 0% platform fee on donations to a registered 501(c)(3). Standard Stripe processing (2.9% + $0.30) still applies, because that is what the card network charges Stripe. Kannect does not add a cut on top.
0% Kannect fee on donations
On a $100 gift to a registered nonprofit, you keep $96.80 after Stripe processing. Donorbox and Givebutter typically add another 2 to 5 percent on top of processing. Over a year of giving, the difference funds the entire Kannect subscription and then some.
One stack, one member record
Donor, volunteer, event attendee, board member, and program participant all become one person on Kannect. Fundraising, events, memberships, and email talk to the same record. You stop paying five subscriptions and stop paying staff to reconcile spreadsheets between them.
Tax notices and receipts included
Every donor receipt carries a tax-deduction notice by default. Campaigns support one-time gifts, sustainer giving, and manual offline entries so year-end reconciliation is a report, not a project. Payouts land in your account via Stripe Connect in three business days.
How to pick a plan without overthinking it
The four Kannect plans are separated by community size, not by which features you get. Every plan includes events, messaging, the mobile app, the member CRM, memberships, fundraising, and the community website. Here is how to match your organization to a starting tier.
New or small communities under 500 people
Right for a newly formed nonprofit, a neighborhood association, a PTA, a small chamber, a founding board building the first membership year, or an existing group testing Kannect before a full migration. You get the entire community engagement platform on day one: 500 people, 3 admins, 5 groups, one directory, one membership type with tiered pricing, and a 2% platform fee on paid events.
Pick this if: your member count is under 500 and you would rather spend $23 a month to prove Kannect works than run a formal RFP.
Growing communities from 500 to 2,000 people
The most common starting tier for chambers, faith communities, medium PTAs, and mid-sized nonprofits with an existing member list. You move up to 2,000 people, 5 admins, 10 groups, and unlock more email volume for large campaign sends. Same 2% platform fee, same shared member record across every event, campaign, and message.
Pick this if: you already have hundreds of members and are switching from a stack of Eventbrite + Mailchimp + Facebook Groups. Launch is usually cheaper than the tools it replaces on day one.
Established organizations from 2,000 to 5,000 people
Built for organizations running multiple programs at once: an active chamber, a small university department, a regional nonprofit, or a growing faith community. 5,000 people, 10 admins, 25 groups, multiple directories, multiple membership types, and a lower 1.5% platform fee. This is where the migration math typically closes: the fee drop alone often pays for the plan.
Pick this if: you run more than a handful of programs, you want more than one directory, or you sell paid tickets frequently enough that the fee drop matters.
Large communities from 5,000 to 15,000 people
The tier for larger nonprofits, established chambers, alumni networks, faith communities with a full campus, and mid-sized associations. 15,000 people, 25 admins, 50 groups, the highest email volume, and a 1% platform fee on paid events. Everything a smaller organization gets, at the volume a large one needs.
Pick this if: you are past 5,000 people, run frequent large events, and want the lowest platform fee available before Enterprise.
National organizations, chapter networks, and white-label mobile apps
For organizations that need sub-communities (5 included, packs of 5 available for upgrade), a fully branded native mobile app under their own name in the App Store and Google Play, custom procurement or security review, or a national parent-and-chapter structure. Enterprise carries the lowest 0.5% platform fee and a dedicated Community Success partner. See the white-label and enterprise pricing page for the current numbers or book a consult.
Pick this if: you run chapters or regional networks, need a native app in your own brand, or have procurement requirements a standard plan cannot meet.
Not sure which tier fits? Start on the plan that matches your current member count and upgrade as you grow. Your people, events, content, and history come with you at every step.
What switching to Kannect actually looks like
Most Kannect customers arrive from a stack of four to six subscriptions. The math on switching is the same for a nonprofit, a chamber of commerce, a school PTA, or a membership association. Here is how the year plays out.
Before Kannect
The stack: Eventbrite ($99/mo + 3.7% + $1.79 per ticket + 2.9% processing), Mailchimp ($99/mo for a growing list), Squarespace ($25/mo), Facebook Groups (free but throttled), a member spreadsheet, and Donorbox for donations (2.9% + $0.30 + up to 4% platform fee).
Annual cost: roughly $2,676 in subscriptions plus $500 to $2,000+ in ticket fees, plus staff time reconciling five member lists.
After switching to Kannect
The stack: Kannect Growth at $119/mo (or Launch at $55/mo for smaller communities), with events, messaging, CRM, memberships, directory, community website, campaigns, and the mobile app included. 1.5% platform fee on paid events, 0% on nonprofit donations.
Annual cost: $1,428 (Growth) with a single line item, no per-ticket flat fee, and one member list feeding everything.
What migration actually takes
Export your member list from your current tool as a CSV, drop it into Kannect, and invite your team. Recreate your first upcoming event and your next email template. Point your custom domain (or start on web.kannect.co/yourorg) and update the “join” link on your existing channels. Most organizations complete the migration in an afternoon. Kannect's Community Success Team walks you through it on the plans above Starter.
Four reasons the price makes sense
Buyers evaluating Kannect against Circle, Hivebrite, Mighty Networks, or the DIY stack of Eventbrite + Mailchimp + Facebook Groups usually land on the same four reasons. None of them is the sticker price. They are what a community engagement platform is actually worth when it works.
The stack math wins on day one
The average community organization arriving on Kannect was paying $300 or more a month across four to six subscriptions and still spending staff hours reconciling them. Kannect replaces the stack with a single line item and a shared member record. Growth at $119 a month typically returns a positive month-one ROI once you subtract the tools you cancel and the per-ticket fees you no longer pay.
Reach that does not decay
Facebook organic reach falls a little every year. Email open rates drift down as inboxes fill up. Kannect combines push, email, and in-app announcements with the Reach Promise: every opted-in member receives every announcement. No algorithm, no throttle, no ad budget deciding who hears you. Reach is priced in, not sold as an upgrade.
Independent and accountable
Meetup and Eventbrite are now both owned by Bending Spoons, a holding company whose track record is price hikes and cut support after acquisition. Kannect is founder-run and privately held. The roadmap is set by the communities on the platform, not by an acquirer's exit timeline. Buying Kannect is buying into a platform whose incentives stay aligned with yours.
Verified members, real network effects
Every organization on Kannect is credit-card verified during signup. That single check keeps the network free of bots, fake listings, and scam campaigns. When a member discovers your community through Kannect Discover, they know it is real. When your organization sends a message, members know it came from you. Trust that other platforms have lost is the fee Kannect never has to charge.
Trusted by real communities
Nonprofits, chambers, schools, and civic groups run on Kannect. New organizations join every week.
Outgrowing your plan is not a reason to change plans
Every plan includes 10 emails per person per month, and a people pack keeps that ratio. Add one when your community grows past your limit but your feature needs have not. Packs follow your plan's billing cycle, so you keep one invoice and one renewal date.
$12/mo
+500 people and 5,000 more emails a month. Billed yearly, or $15 month to month.
$20/mo
+1,000 people and 10,000 more emails a month. Billed yearly, or $25 month to month.
$88/mo
+5,000 people and 50,000 more emails a month. Billed yearly, or $110 month to month.
Stack as many as you need. If you are adding several, upgrading is usually cheaper and gets you more admins, groups, and directories as well. We will tell you which is better value before you buy either.
Need your own branded mobile app or multi-community setup?

Pricing questions, answered
Do all plans include a free trial?
Yes. Every plan includes a 7-day free trial so you can explore Kannect with your real community before you commit.
Is a credit card required to start?
Yes. A card starts your trial, and it is how Kannect stays verified and spam-free by stopping bots and fake organizations. You can cancel anytime during the trial and will not be charged.
Can I pay monthly or yearly?
Both. You can pay month to month, or pay yearly and save 20%. There is no long-term contract either way, and you can change at any time.
What does the people limit include, and is there an admin limit?
The people limit covers everyone in your community — members, attendees, staff, students, supporters. Admins are counted separately and have their own limit per plan: 3 (Starter), 5 (Launch), 10 (Growth), 25 (Scale).
How do payments and fees work?
Kannect charges a 2% platform fee on paid events, programs, and memberships, dropping to 1.5% on Growth and 1% on Scale, and 0% on nonprofit donations. Standard Stripe processing fees apply.
What if I outgrow my plan?
Upgrade anytime as your community grows, and your people, events, content, and history move with you. If you only need a little more room, add a people pack instead of changing tiers.
What happens if I cancel mid-term?
You can cancel anytime from your account settings or by emailing us. There are no cancellation fees. Your plan continues through the end of the current billing period — the rest of the month on monthly plans, or the rest of the annual term on annual plans. We do not prorate refunds for unused time in the current billing period.
Do we need our own domain and email to start?
No. Every Kannect plan comes with a web address at web.kannect.co/yourorg and a sending email at yourorg@mail.kannect.co, so you can launch immediately even if you don't own a domain yet. Add your own custom domain and sending address whenever you're ready. Your community, content, and members come with you.
Do nonprofits get special pricing?
Nonprofits pay the same monthly plan price as any other organization, and get 0% Kannect fee on donations to a registered 501(c)(3). Standard Stripe processing (2.9% + $0.30) still applies. Compared to paying Donorbox, Givebutter, or Mailchimp separately, the net savings for a mid-size nonprofit typically covers the entire Kannect subscription.
Are there any add-ons or overage fees?
The two add-ons are people packs and Enterprise sub-community packs (packs of 5 sub-communities). People packs add members and sending together: +500 people and 5,000 emails a month for $12/mo, +1,000 people and 10,000 emails for $20/mo, or +5,000 people and 50,000 emails for $88/mo, billed yearly. Month to month is $15, $25, and $110. A pack follows your plan billing cycle, so you keep one invoice and one renewal date. We do not bill overages: if you approach your people limit, we notify you before it becomes a problem so you can upgrade or add a pack on your terms.
Is enterprise or white-label pricing custom?
Enterprise plans start at a published price and include a lower 0.5% platform fee, 5 sub-communities (with packs of 5 available), and options for a fully branded native mobile app. Larger organizations with regional networks, multi-brand structures, or specific procurement requirements can book a consult. See the white-label and enterprise pricing page for the current numbers.
What happens to our data if we cancel?
Your community, members, events, and content are yours. Cancel anytime and request a full export by email; we deliver within 30 days. Kannect never sells, rents, or trains on your community data. This is core to what makes Kannect the community engagement platform organizations actually trust.
