Review and approve applications
One queue for everyone waiting to join, split into Pending, Unpaid and Denied.
Community → Applications opens Membership Applications, which Kannect describes as where you "Review and approve requests from people who want to join your community."
Everything that needs a decision from you arrives here: applications to a membership plan and to a group or program, as long as that plan or group is not set to auto approve.
The three tabs
- Pending. Applications waiting for your decision. This is the working queue, and the one to check on a schedule.
- Unpaid. People who applied to something that costs money and have not paid. They are not waiting on you, they are waiting on themselves.
- Denied. Everyone you have turned down. They stay here rather than disappearing.
What is on each row
| Column | | | --- | --- | | Applicant Name | | | Gender | | | City | | | Phone | | | Applied On | The date they applied, which is the one to sort your conscience by. | | Approve | The decision. |
Above the table is a Search box, and below it you can show 25 or 100 rows at a time.
Steps
- Open Community → Applications.
- Stay on Pending.
- Open an application to read what they submitted.
- Approve it, or deny it.
- Check the Unpaid tab separately, because nothing there will move on its own.
Where they go afterwards
- Approved: the person appears in People, on the plan or group they applied to, and their answers land on the Profile tab of their record.
- Denied: they move to the Denied tab and stay there.
