Set capacity and add tickets
Total venue capacity, ticket types, and the registration form each ticket carries.
Steps
- Open the event and go to the Tickets step.
- Set the Total venue capacity. This is the ceiling for the whole event.
- Choose Add New Ticket, or the pencil on an existing row to change one. Either opens the ticket panel below the table.
- Fill in:
- Ticket name, for example General Admission or Board member
- Ticket type: Free or Paid
- Available quantity
- Pricing, which only accepts a figure once the type is Paid
- Ticket description, up to 1,000 characters, optional
- Build the Registration Form Fields, which is what each attendee fills in when they take this ticket. See below.
- Choose Save ticket. That commits it and closes the panel so you can add the next one.
- Save & Next.
Registration Form Fields
This is the part that turns a ticket into something you learn from. The panel puts it plainly: define the information you want to collect from attendees buying this ticket, building a custom application or starting from a saved template.
- Add Template Fields is optional. Pick a saved template and choose Add fields to drop its questions into the form. You can still add or remove fields afterwards, so a template is a starting point rather than a commitment.
- First Name, Last Name and Email are always offered, each with a checkbox for whether it is required.
- Add Field adds your own question.
Templates are built in event settings, and are worth setting up if you run the same kind of event repeatedly.
Your ticket list
Once you have some, the step shows them as a table with Ticket Name, Capacity, Price and Action, each with an On Sale badge and an edit and delete icon. A ticket carrying extra questions shows the count underneath, for example "3 custom fields".
At the top right there is a running total, for example "70 tickets left as per venue capacity", so you can see how much of the room you have allocated.
