Connect Stripe and get paid
Connect a bank account through Stripe so ticket, membership, group and donation payments reach you directly.
Kannect uses Stripe for payments. Until this is connected you cannot take money for anything, so do it before you build a paid event, a paid membership tier or a campaign.
Steps
- Open Settings → Wallet.
- Use the payout setup link to go to Stripe.
- Create a Stripe account, or sign in to your existing one.
- Connect your bank account.
- Return to Kannect. Payout settings on the Wallet overview takes you back to Stripe whenever you need it.
What happens then
Payments for events, membership dues, groups, programs and donations go from your member to your Stripe account and then to your bank, on Stripe's rolling payout schedule. Wallet shows the whole thing live.
What it costs
Two separate fees come off a payment:
- Stripe's processing fee, at Stripe's standard published rates.
- Kannect's platform fee, which depends on your plan: 2% on Starter and Launch, 1.5% on Growth, 1% on Scale. Your own rate is shown on Settings → Billing & Payments under Plan Usage and Features.
Donations to a nonprofit organization carry no Kannect platform fee at all.
The Fees card on the Wallet overview splits the two apart for the current month, so you can always see which is which.
